Mason’s Cafe and Cape Trib Shop
Mason’s Café offers lunches near a beautiful crocodile/ stinger free swimming hole. They offer local products, including tea, coffee, fruit and fish, specialising in exotic meats, with Kangaroo, Crocodile, Emu, Camel, Buffalo and Wild Boar all available. There is a selection of tasting plates on offer, that feature various combinations of exotic meats with Choko and either Breadfruit or Taro Chips. Jakfruit burgers are available seasonally.
Mason’s Café tries to source as much as we can locally. They use Misty Mountains milk, Mungalli Yoghurt, Daintree Tea, Tichum Creek Coffee, and fish caught off the Daintree Coast. Breadfruit is farmed on their property, and Taro sourced in Mossman. Prime Atherton Tableland Kirra Koppa beef from Marsh Butchers in Cairns is used for burgers and steak sandwiches and Stanpol Continental Smallgoods in Cairns make our ham and hot dogs.
They also pride themselves on making as much food as we can onsite include burgers in house, their own sauces where possible, and many crumbed or battered items are made to order. You can taste the difference. They also offer a good range of gluten free alternatives, even burgers!
Near the Café is an amazing freshwater swimming hole. Entry is by $1 fee, and here you can cool off in a croc free and stinger free waterhole full of native fish.
